This Week's Readings
- Hits: 961
First Reading: Isaiah 35:1-6a, 10
Isaiah tells us that when Christ comes, the weak will be made strong, the deaf will hear, the blind will see, and, above all, “sorrow and mourning will flee.”
Second Reading: James 5:7-10
As the farmer waits patiently through winter and spring for the “yield of the soil” so, too, must we wait patiently for the coming of the Messiah.
Gospel: Matthew 11:2-11
While in prison, John sends a messenger to Jesus to ask, “Are you He who is to come or do we look for another?” Jesus replies by citing the miracles he has performed for the blind, the deaf, and the crippled. He concludes by identifying John as the messenger He has sent to prepare the way. ©2000 Bon Venture Services, Inc.

Stained Glass Window Restoration:
Pictorial pamphlets are being prepared for sponsoring the restoration of a window. This will be an opportunity to memorialize or honor a loved one in perpetuity. We have found documentation that our windows & Stations of the Cross are works of art designed by Paula H Balano, the “first lady” of stained glass in Philadelphia!
National Register of Historic Places: Documentation of the origin of our stained glass windows was discovered while researching at the Diocesan Archives!! Very Exciting!! This significant finding will be included in St Dennis’ application to the NRHP.
New Pastoral Council Members are still needed; Prayerfully consider that your talents are valuable & can help to form and nurture St Dennis Parish Family!
Committees: Many Thanks to the Fundraising committee members, who are busily preparing for the Bazaar!
Pasta dinner was also very successful!!
Liturgy committee is in organizational mode. To be continued…….
Building & Maintenance: Multiple projects are in abeyance until sufficient funding is procured.
