This Week's Readings
Gospel: Matthew 25:14-30
Jesus narrates the parable of the talents – in the story, the silver pieces given to the three
men. Two of the men invest their coins and dou- ble their worth, but the third buries his coins in
the ground and earns no return. The message of Jesus is that we must use to the fullest the tal-
ents we have received.
Our parish is in dire need of Sacristans.
Sacristans open up our church for Mass and other services, set up the necessary items for use for the Mass, stand ready to assist the priest as needed and lock the church afterwards. Experienced Sacristans can train you and provide assistance to you as you learn.
Our parish needs you to consider coming forward to become a Sacristan.
Please contact the parish office if you are interested and want to learn more. Thank you.
Thanksgiving Food Drive
Thanksgiving is fast approaching BUT we cannot collect canned and boxed foods at this
time. So, instead, we are encouraging you to give GROCERY STORE GIFT cards or cash donations
beginning November 1ˢᵗ and continuing up to and including Thanksgiving Day. The GROCERY GIFT cards
and money (in appropriately marked envelope) will be shared with the Food Pantry to whom we give
canned and boxed foodstuffs. On Thanksgiving morning at the 9am Mass, ALL money collected will be
given to the Food Pantry too. Please consider helping with this "food" drive to help
our area neighbors in need.
