Lectors and Sacristans Needed
Our parish is in dire need of more liturgical ministers especially Lectors and Sacristans.
Lectors proclaim the Word of God – scripture readings - at Mass, and the Lector also reads the Prayers of the Faithful. Lector Workbooks are available for practice and experienced Lectors may coach you if desired.
Sacristans open up our church for Mass and other services, set up the necessary items for use for the Mass, stand ready to assist the priest as needed and lock the church afterwards. Experienced Sacristans can train you and provide assistance to you as you learn.
Our parish needs you to consider coming forward to become a Lector and/or a Sacristan. Please contact the parish office if you are interested and want to learn more. Thank you.
Food Pantry Collection
St. Dennis may be a small parish but we are huge when it comes to our generosity to those less fortunate! Congratulations on donating a total of 1,913.75 lbs. of non perishable food from February 19, 2018 through December 31, 2018! We had our largest months during the November (407 lbs.) and December (467 lbs.) food drives, which showed that we selflessly thought of others even during our own busy and hectic holiday schedules. Thank you to everyone who donated and to the pastoral council who helped promote this food ministry. Together we are making a difference in our own community ... "one can at a time"!
