ST. DENNIS CHURCHParish and Family LifeWelcome to our parish family. The parish family at St. Dennis is as strong as its individual members. We build one another up by our participation. We can weaken the group if we take without giving. There are advantages in being known as regular members of your parish. We are a Stewardship Parish. Each member should make a concious decision about using Time, Talent, and Treasure in serving God. Should you elect to become an active member of the St. Dennis family you will find opportunities to become involved in many aspects of parish life. We feel that our commitment together will make a difference to each of our lives. The strength and love of God is shown by each act of kindness and generosity within our community. We think of ourselves as family and have had occasion to prove this both in difficult and happy times.

Great dinners cooked by the Knights of Columbus and their families. Come and enjoy. Bring your family, your neighbor's family, and invite your friends. Special price for children. The food is good, the price is right. Beer and wine available. An annual summer fundraiser for the parish, to be held at the Social Hall on the last Saturday of July. Workers will be needed to set-up tables, roast the beef, deep fry the chicken, husk and steam a pick-up truck full of freshly pulled corn, prepare potatoes and vegetables, make salads, barbeque hamburgers, sell chances, work the games of chance, work on the serving line, sell tickets at the door, clean up, etc. It takes a village. It is a labor of love. Don't miss being a part of this event. Customers come from up and down the Eastern Shore for an " All you can eat and stay as long as you like" meal.
A Christmas crafts bazaar to be held on the first Saturday in November. Artisans from the area set up their wares in the Social Hall. They are provided with whatever space and number of tables their businesses require. At present, tables are $15 each or $25 for a pair. Vendors may call the parish office @ 410-648-5145 to reserve a space. The Church operates the kitchen and provides lunch at a nominal cost. The Christmas chances, which started selling in the summer, are also sold here. Before closing for the day the winning tickets are drawn for the grand cash prize and for the donated prizes. The Church also chances off hourly "surprise" baskets. The cake sale is a very popular event. Cakes, cookies, breads, sweets, etc. are made by parishioners and donated to the Bazaar to be sold or chanced off. ******** This is another covered dish, church community event. After the meal and dessert the children of the Religious Education classes perform a Christmas Pageant, telling the story of the birth of the Christ child through scripture and song. Some years we combine the pageant with the Hispanic celebration of our Lady of Guadalupe. You will go home feeling good. . P.o.
